“The more important an activity is to your soul’s evolution, the more resistance you will feel”
– Steven Pressfield
If I think about everything I’ve manifested in my life, each event or circumstance has come with a price.
…And that price’s name is RESISTANCE.
The ability to push through resistance is one of my greatest accomplishments and I truly believe it is why I’ve been able to manifest what I want in this lifetime.
This is why I want to share with you about resistance, and how pushing through it can be one of the best decisions you will ever make.
I remember in 2014 when I first quit my job as an International School Grade 2 Teacher to start my own business as a Reiki Practitioner, the amount of resistance that came up was enormous and even debilitating. It wasn’t until I came across Marie Forleo’s work that I understood why I was feeling so much fear and self-doubt. She suggested her listeners to read the book by Steven Pressfield: “The War Of Art”, and this book completely changed the way I felt about resistance. Click the link to get this book on audible.
According to Pressfield resistance is self-sabotage.
In this episode we cover:
- Why it’s important to understand and recognise resistance when it creeps up.
- My own struggle with resistance, and how pushing through it has helped me to manifest what I want in life.
- How to overcome resistance if you feel powerless against it.
So, what are the steps to move past resistance?
- Awareness: Know the feeling of resistance is normal. When you feel it, acknowledge it and don’t give in.
- Feel the resistance fully, and transform it.
- Keep taking action. Don’t give up on your dreams. Know that nothing worth having comes easy.
